Typically when we consume lemons, we either squeeze the juice or use the slices a garnish. Lemon juice is rich in vitamin C but you will get a lot more for the money is you blend the whole fruit and eat about 1 or 2 table spoons of it everyday (especially in winter, of course). Avoid too much contact with the teeth because it’s too acidic. Make sure you rinse them with water or lick a tiny bit of baking soda to neutralize the acid in the mouth.

Make sure the lemons you use are organic because otherwise they would be covered with wax and you don’t want to ingest that. You can tell whether a lemon is waxed by touching it. If you want to de-wax the lemons you can by putting them in a sieve and pouring boiling water over them and then gently scrubbing them under cold water.
